In 2023, we significantly broadened our programming to better serve survivors of human trafficking and gender-based violence. Our programs address survivors’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs while ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are protected. As we approach the end of the year, we are launching a fundraising campaign to support our mental health and crisis intervention services. Survivors often face significant mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). These conditions can be debilitating and profoundly impact a person’s quality of life. At Eleison, our mission is to ensure that all survivors have access to the mental health care they need to overcome these challenges and thrive. Our services include:

Mental Health Workshops: Our mental health workshops promote mental health and emotional wellness by raising awareness and offering practical tools for managing mental health to survivors, their families, and community partners. During these interactive learning sessions, we encourage individuals to openly communicate about mental health, combat stigma, and create a safe space to express themselves without fear or judgment. Thus far, in 2023, we have conducted mental health workshops with 428 survivors, service providers, staff, and community members.

Crisis Intervention Services: We provide immediate short-term counseling and psychosocial support to survivors who experience violence, disclose suicidal thoughts or behaviors, and experience other crises. During these sessions, our team of mental health professionals is available 24/7 to help clients in crisis stabilize, stay safe, build coping skills, and strengthen their support systems. Following the immediate intervention, we continue to monitor survivors and their well-being, assist them with referral needs, conduct ongoing risk assessment, and provide counseling services.

Counseling Services: Our counseling services offer survivors access to counseling, case management, and psychosocial support that cater to their unique needs. It is a collaborative process that involves identifying clients’ mental health needs, creating a comprehensive treatment plan to address their concerns, and connecting them with the necessary resources to process their traumatic experiences and continue on their journey toward recovery.

Healing and Resilience after Trauma (HaRT): HaRT is a 12-week group mental health program designed to provide survivors with a holistic approach to healing and nurturing their physical, emotional, and mental well-being. The program integrates mindfulness, mind-body practices, and supportive group discussions. It offers a safe and trusted environment for participants to explore their emotions, build resilience, and cultivate the skills and tools necessary for long-term healing and well-being.

We invite you to participate in our mission by donating any amount you are comfortable with. Your contribution will significantly help survivors under our care. Help us expand our reach and provide essential mental health services to those who need them the most. Donate here today and join us in the fight against human trafficking.
